When you live in The Meadows at Imperial Oaks, your children will attend the highly-regarded Conroe Independent School District. Covering 348 square miles, Conroe ISD is one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state with an average enrollment growth of approximately 1,500 students per year. Even with the brisk growth, the Texas Education Agency consistently recognizes the Conroe ISD as a top-performing school district. The graduation rate of 94.7% is one of the highest in the state, and in 2010, Conroe ISD became the largest district in the state to ever achieve the highest rating of Exemplary.

At an academic level, Conroe ISD offers a comprehensive core academic program across the district. Athletic opportunities, a cutting-edge Career and Technical Education curriculum, and diverse fine arts courses are just some of the opportunities available to students in the Conroe ISD.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

  • Kaufman Elementary School offers a fun and challenging learning environment with strong programs in the arts and sciences and programs such as Destination Imagination, Gifted & Talented Program, Music, Junior Achievement, High Achiever, Honor Roll, YMCA after-school program and more.

MIDDLE SCHOOLS

  • Tom Cox Intermediate School offers programs in Character Education, Orchestra, Science Club, Choir, Student Council and Art
  • Vogel Intermediate School* fifth- and sixth-grade students boasted above average scores on state-mandated tests and received two distinctions in 2016 - Top 25% Student Progress and Postsecondary Readiness. Programs offered include Band, Culinary Club, Destination Imagination, Student Council, and more.

HIGH SCHOOLS

  • York Junior High School has campus programs including Student Leadership Academy, Speech and Debate, Cross Country and more. 
  • Irons Junior High School* has campus programs including PreAP subjects, Communications Applications, Spanish, Theatre Arts, Computer SkillsClub, Orchestra and more.
  • Oak Ridge High School is a comprehensive school that offers a myriad of courses to meet diversified needs and goals of students. The school offers advanced placement with nearby Lone Star College, and caters for special needs students with a modified curriculum. The Air Force Junior ROTC program emphasizes Aerospace Science and Leadership Training.

HIGHER EDUCATION | COLLEGE

  • Lone Star College offers several Associate Degrees, Workforce Certificates and Continuing Education Certificates. Their High School Programs, Study Abroad Programs and International Student Programs enable a diverse and well-rounded student upon completion.
  • Sam Houston State University offers 20 upper-level undergraduate degrees and 17 graduate degrees at a convenient location in The Woodlands Center.


*In January 2017, Conroe ISD finalized plans to rezone neighborhoods in the Spring area. Campus moves will take place beginning with the 2018-2019 school year.
