Great Schools, Closer to Home Planned for The Meadows at Imperial Oaks

Starting this August, The Meadows at Imperial Oaks students will begin attending schools even closer to home.

The Conroe Independent School District recently rezoned the naturally-wooded master-planned community. Beginning in August, Kindergarten through fourth-grade students will be zoned to Kaufman Elementary located less than 1 mile and five minutes away from The Meadows at Imperial Oaks. In 2018, students will begin attending Vogel Intermediate and Irons Junior High School. High school students will remain at Oak Ridge High School.

All schools maintain the high academic standards fast-growing Conroe ISD schools are known for.

Kaufman offers a fun and challenging learning environment with strong programs in the arts and sciences. Vogel fifth- and sixth-grade students boast above average scores on state-mandated tests and received two distinctions — Top 25% Student Progress and Postsecondary Readiness — in 2016. Irons Hawks fly high when it comes to academics, having been named a Texas Honor Roll school in 2015. Irons’ students perform particularly well in STEM subjects and received distinctions in Mathematics, Science and Top 25% Closing Perform Gaps on state-mandated tests.

Oak Ridge High School boasts varsity sports programs and a JROTC program. The district has plans to build a Math and Science Academy to expand their magnet program.

Current residents may choose to continue with their present schools.
