Coventry and Plantation Homes to Pay Electric Bills for 2 Years

Coventry Homes and Plantation Homes are greeting summer temperatures with the return of a cool incentive that is one of the builders’ most popular — the Beat the Heat sales event.

Through the limited-time promotion, the builders will prepay two years’ worth of electricity bills for people buying a new home from June 8 through July 31. The incentive is valid for all of the builders’ Houston-area communities and for buyers in Coventry Homes’ Build On Your Lot program.

“This is a program that we bring back year after year because it resonates with buyers,” said Paul Blackburn, region president for McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc., (MHI), parent company of Coventry Homes and Plantation Homes.

Both Plantation and Coventry build each home to the platinum-level standards of the stringent Environments for Living program, an initiative that exceeds the well-known Energy Star guidelines.

“We even offer a three-year limited guarantee for heating and cooling usage, so homeowners continue to see savings each year,” Blackburn said.

Coventry Homes builds in 25 communities in and throughout Houston with pricing from the $300,000s to more than $1 million. Plantation Homes can be found in 17 Houston-area communities with pricing from the $180,000s to the $350,000s. The Build On Your Lot program allows people to access Coventry Homes’ full range of services and floor plans for their personally owned homesites.

Parent company MHI has been building homes in Texas since 1988 and offers designs in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio, in addition to Houston.
